Different people have different choices. A lot of people like pet animals. Most of the people like Dogs as pet animals. Birds, Cats etc as pet animal arent rare.
We have pet animals too. Ours are birds. It is called “Love Birds”. They look truly lovely. They live in a small cage. It hangs on in front of our door. The cage is tied up with a rope that comes from the roof. Let’s take a look at the family that lives inside a cage in front of our door.
Their life is simple — with no worries, sadness and struggle. They wake up early in the morning and start tweeting (calling) for foods. It’s pretty great to see when both of them sit on the empty pot of food that is kept inside the cage and call loudly for food. It looks like sitting on a dining table and waiting for breakfast. They are really cute. I tried several times to take a photo when they wait for breakfast sitting on the pot of food. But they are always frightened. Whenever I get closer to them, they get frightened and leave the pose. So, instead of taking a photo, I enjoy the scene.
They pass all day playing with whatever we keep inside the cage. Some useless papers are kept in the floor of cage. They always play with it. Apparently it looks like they are eating paper. They bite the papers with their hard and fast little lips. This is a common behaviour of both male and female lovebirds. [You may refer to Wikipedia’s related section.] Also, if you hang a thin rope or a cotton thread inside the cage, they will start playing with it. They are always joyous and happy — unlike us!
They take their last meal of the day at the time when the Sun prepares to set down. During Evening, they complete their dinner and then try to fall asleep. Though most of the time I find them awake during midnight. But when they sleep, they look like two little toy-birds. That’s so beautiful.
Some people don’t like domesticating birds inside of a cage. Well, I do agree with them that it’s really a bit crucial to keep birds inside of a cage. But it should be mentioned that the birds we are domesticating can’t live outside the cage. Love Birds are also termed as Cage Birds who spend their lives most happily inside of a cage. If you need a strong proof on behalf of what I’m saying, you may head over to the Wikipedia’s Lovebirds page for exact information about the required housing and environment for lovebirds.
I forgot to set my Nokia’s camera to High Quality before taking the pictures inside the gallery above. Apologies for that.
Do you have something like this?

Those are budgies, not lovebirds.

Ha ha that was funny! Everybody knows they are lovebirds, even those who sold them to me. 😆

No. He’s right.
They’re budgies.
These are lovebirds.
And these are budgerigars.
Budgerigars are the ones that you can tell the difference between genders by looking at the color of the cere (the little part right above their beak). If it’s blue, they’re male; if it’s brown/white, they’re female.
The people who sold them to you are a bunch of ignorant people. Pardon my rudeness.

Actually, she is right. I own a pair of lovebirds and what you have are budgies. they are on my blog.

hiii you would be happy to know i too have the similar love birds as yours the same colour and breed…
and i completely connect with your love for them…
its 2 months they are with me and they are now not frightened of me but eat sitting on my hand…

Whoa! How did you make them do it? Ours still fear us. 😦

they must be familiar with your voices…
in the morning instead of putting their food into the plate just hold it in your hand inside the cage they would be frightened for few minutes initially but gradually food will attract them…
first two or three days do not move your hand while inside the cage that scares them…
later they would get habitual…
my birds now just play on my hand instead of eating…
they might peck you once a while but that does not at all pain or hurt so nothing to worry…

I tried that a couple of times. They’d starve but not eat food from my hand. 😦

I have been considering getting a pair of love birds as my new pets. We already have a naughty dog at home n a big fish tank in my room. But the question whether I will be able to give the required attention , care and time to these pets is stopping me from getting them home. I don’t know their behaviour, food habits, requirements, and how to care for them. But I do love them and want to have a pair very soon.

I was wondering if you ever thought of changing the layout of your
site? Its very well written; I love what youve got to say.
But maybe you could a little more in the way
of content
so people could connect with it better. Youve got an awful lot of
text for only having one or 2
pictures. Maybe you could space it out better?
