All right, after claiming a Nobel Prize for my procrastination, I kept procrastinating my next post on this blog. I can’t say that I have been idle all day long because I have to study for my ongoing exam, keep writing for blogs and magazine I work for and so on. However, I recently noticed that I was tagged by blogger Rinth apu on her most recent post. She tagged me in a bunch of questions created by herself. Luckily, all the questions are common and easy-to-answer for me because I’m a movie freak. 😉 All right, without further needless talking, let’s get down to questions and answers.
1. Do you have any favorite movies? If so, then which ones?
A. That’s actually the most difficult question to answer as I’ve watched uncountable movies over the past two years and I can’t even remember some of their titles. If you ask for favorite movies, it’s easy for me to get confused when answering. Anyway, since I’m asked, I will answer. A few of my favorite movies are The Mist, The Green Mile, The Shawshank Redemption, Shutter Island and any movies based on Zombie Apocalypse.
2. Favorite actors/actresses? Is there any specific reason to why these are your favorites?
A. No. I don’t have any favorite actor/actress to mention. I like if the cast is well enough and feels real. However, a couple of Hollywood superstars I like (not that my favorite) are Matt Damon, Leonardo DiCaprio, Al Pacino, Will Smith and more.
3. Which TV-series do you follow?
A. I live in Bangladesh and most cable TVs that feature watch-worthy TV series aren’t available here. However, I do manage to watch them via DVD. So far I’ve only watched two TV series. Nightmares and Dreamscapes cast on TNT based on Stephen King’s short stories is the first TV series I ever watched (on a computer, of course). Later I watched The Walking Dead season 1 and fell in love with it. Now I’m following The Walking Dead Season 2 on Star Movies. (Again, it’s based on Zombie Apocalypse. Now you know how fascinated I am with this plot!)
4. Which is the best environment for watching a movie?
A. An environment that is calm, where nobody would interrupt. That’s all I prefer for watching a movie. There’s an additional requirement for movies that has a PG or R (not to mention NC-17) rating. 😛 I prefer an environment where nobody else would even enter. 😛 😛
5. Unless you’re an omnivore ;P, which kind of movies would you rather avoid?
A. I usually avoid movies based on history. I also don’t like black and white movie. I’m not a fan of war films although I don’t avoid them. I liked The Hurt Locker, The Pianist and movies alike.
6. Which is the scariest horror movie you’ve ever seen? How did it affect you?
A. I once tried to note down the titles of all the films I’ve watched. I couldn’t remember the titles of all of them. However, in the list of 200+ movie titles, more than 60% films were horror/thriller/suspense type. So, you can imagine it’s so difficult for me to narrow down to one or two titles as the scariest horror movie I’ve ever seen. I’ve seen so many. SAW (I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII 3D), Dead Silence, The Blair Witch Project, The Uninvited, Quarantine (Remake of REC) and so many better titles I can’t remember right now. I can tell, there is no scariest one. And no movie affected me so far (unless by ‘affecting me’ you meant getting afraid or fearful which happens if I try watching a horror film alone in the middle of the night).
Oh, looks like it has ended. 🙂 So, as the trend goes on, I should be tagging people. But I don’t really want to narrow down to specific people. If you have been reading this post for the past couple of minutes, I’m tagging YOU! Go on, copy the questions to your blog, answer them, publish the post and ping this post. Also comment on my post writing what you think about my taste in movies as reflected on the answers above. I’m eagerly waiting. 🙂
