Do you ever feel like you’re getting tired of having to charge all of your devices all throughout the day? I do. As much as I love having a lot of gadgets that I once could only dream of, it comes with a price. No, not the price to purchase them, but the price of time to maintain them.

My room is full of cables of different lengths and varieties. It’s easy to lose a cable in the midst of all this and search for the right cable pretty much every day. Most of today’s smartphones and computers can’t last longer than a day, so every day, all phones and laptops have to be charged up. I work from my desk most of the time, so I don’t have to worry much about charging the laptop. It’s almost always connected except for when the laptop is turned off.

But it’s a completely different story when it comes to smartphones. I have to charge them pretty much continuously. I have an Android and an iPhone, so I have to make sure that they don’t run out of charge at the same time. Despite my best efforts, I’ve run into situations — more often than I’d like to — when I have to go out to run an errand and my phone is nearly dead. I feel like what have I been doing all day?

All of these gadgets do make life a bit faster, but it also comes with TONS of work, and by work, I sure do mean having to charge them regularly. Do you ever feel like having to charge your phone is a work? I guess I’m just lazy if you don’t.
