High ISO is overrated. That’s something I always wanted to talk about. Look at this picture. I don’t think it’s terribly bad, do you?

It was the first day of Spring here in Bangladesh and somehow I was late in getting out to celebrate it with the rest of the city dwellers. It was nearly evening. The sun had already started disappearing, and I was feeling bad for not getting out earlier. Why? Because nobody understands the usefulness of the sun more than those who take photographs. 😛

I took this shot at aperture 5.6, the widest it would go, at ISO 3200. I know high ISO is pretty much hated because of the noise that they produce. But I was using a medium zoom telephoto lens and 5.6 is the widest it would go. I needed a fast shutter speed to reduce vibration, and I figured, what the heck, I’ll reduce noise later.

It turned out pretty good, didn’t it? I printed this photo later, and nobody could’ve guessed it…
