If you’ve landed on this page, I’m going to assume that you’re either interested in hiring me for a project or you just want to know what services do I personally offer. Though there’s a link on my sidebar that takes you to my oDesk Contractor Profile, you can hire me personally for your project as well.
Here’s what I’m experienced at:
Blogging at WordPress.com is incredibly easy. Unless you’re really bad at tech, you will figure out how everything is done and since it’s all graphical, nobody needs much of an assistance to get started and never has to worry about security and stuff.
But if you want to spend some money and get your own piece of land on the web in order to customize your site the way you want, you will need to use WordPress.org, the open-source software to create a website or blog. Though setting up and getting started with WordPress is still easy, first time users do often need some professional assistance. And if yours is a small business, you don’t want to spend time experimenting with it while you could just pay attention to your business and leave the “web” part to me.
That’s where I come in.
I can help you set up WordPress on a newly purchased web hosting, customize the site’s look and feel with a theme of your choice, and if relevant, I can also write the content for your website in a search engine friendly manner. I will also make sure to add the most important plugins, little add-ons that improve the functionality of your WordPress site, and tighten the basic security to provide a great user experience to your visitors while making sure it doesn’t take a fall.
I mostly do news writing, but occasionally, I’m also available for writing software reviews or how-to tutorial. You can hire me to write a review of any existing web app or outline and write a how-to walkthrough for a new software that you have developed. In other words, I can write software/app reviews for your website or blog, and I can also write documentation if you have a software or web app that you have just developed.
Documentations are tricky, as nobody really wants to read them and they often feel boring and confusing. Let me do this and I can make each article in the support category not only concise and to-the-point, but also make sure that your users understand what they’re reading even if they have little clue over the whole thing.
A great documentation is an important thing to make sure your first-time users get to know your software or application well and use it like they are supposed to without wasting too much time figuring out how to do something on their own.
Whether you’ve just launched a web app or a WordPress theme, there will always be a lot of people asking a lot of questions and submitting a lot of bugs. If your team is small, and if you want your programmer minds to be occupied on just the development of your product, you really need someone smart enough to handle your customers and assist them along the way.
As a customer support manager, I have experience communicating with users over email as I have helped people figure how why they are facing a problem, how to get things done, as well as handle bug reports and assign them to developers. If you are on the lookout for someone with fair bit of experience to handle customer support over email, you shouldn’t look any further than this point.
If you think you could use my help with any of the above services, do not hesitate to get in touch with me. I will get back to you within 24 hours. If you still need to know a bit of background and personal information, you can check out my About.me page.
